It all depends, honestly. Do you have post processing on? I heard this helps. What GPU do you have? Because I'm running a 1060 GTX and with a RYzen 5 1600 CPU overclocked. It's still lags even for ME, and I play ARK quite often which is a HIGHLY graphically intensive game, especially if you're running it on Epic/Fantastic. When the server has about 50 people online, I lag no matter what, so It doesn't have to do with graphics at all. Well, mostly it doesn't from what I see. But afterall, this game is still Alpha, there is many things behind the scenes that I don't know about, and all I can do is test it. It honestly just depends on how much material is in a certain concentrated part of the map, and that's for many types of games. And I even tried tinkering with the map distance, and It doesn't do much . I still play on fantastic, and by all means, I should be getting at least 60 frames, but sometimes with a lot of players, I drop to 20! So you're good lol. Just mess with the settings, make sure you have no background processes, and try and work around the inconvenience. ^^
