One of the mods had suggested I make a thread about this here, so... here we go.
So simply put, I've recently started playing this game and absolutely loving the Alpha so far. However, other people have complained about this issue and I have seen it myself, even with what I'd say is higher PC specs than normal.
While playing the game for longer periods of time, or letting it run in the background, It will (SOMETIMES, NOT ALL OF THE TIME) cause the issue that feels almost like old data from the game is not being thrown out, but is instead being looped. Your FPS will decrease, stutters will happen more and more frequently, all while the amount of memory the game uses ramps up to absurd amounts, such as 7000 MB or 10000 MB. For most players, that could mean more than 98% of their on-board memory being hogged by the game.
While most of the time, it remains at a stable 500-1500 MB of usage, it will at other times begin ramping up out of nowhere. I haven't noticed any sort of correlation, but this could just be my ignorance in trying to figure out what could be causing it.
