Pigeon Talk

Also here are some pigeons. Theyre mainly homers but I have the egyptian swift in there too. I plan on breeding egyptian swifts soon as well as the homers.

The mainly white pigeon has the whiteracers.com on her band. The other (the grizzle) i got from a friend.


This bird is pedigreed and both her parents are from belgium. I can tell because on her pedigree her parents bands start with BE. One of my favorite hens. Has a few hundred race miles in her from when she lived in Florida. One of my darker blue colored blue bars.


This is one of my breeding hens. I got her when her previous owner passed away so I never saw any information on her background. Shes a really nice hen temperament wise and body type wise. I have her paired to one of my favorite cock birds. Shes more of a powder blue color in person.


Heres a few other birds. 3 hens and a cock (red ring/yellow zip tie is the male)

Then theres the egyptian swift dude. I suspect hes not purebred but thats ok. Got him from a friend in Minnesota.


I use zip ties of different colors to mark pairs. So one pair would get say yellow zip ties and another would get blue. Or snap bands. I use those too. THey pop on and off. I cut the tails so they dont tighten or anything,
