Post some movies that you're sure people haven't heard of! Here's some of my favorites
1. Mirrormask (2005)
This movie is beautiful and when I was younger I was so artistically inspired after seeing it. It's about a girl who loves to draw and her creations meet her in an Alice and Wonderland style fantasy world. It has music by Frou-frou who is one of my favorite musicians, and its just overall a really fun to watch movie.
It's not rated R or anything, it can just be kinda creepy sometimes.
2. The Fall (2006)
This movie made me cry really hard. If you love story-telling movies, this one is fantastic, you're immersed from the second the film starts to the very very end. It's beautiful, the cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, and it's really gotta be one of my favorite movies of all time.
3. Khumba (2013)
I found this on Netflix next to all the other extremely shitty CG animated movies and this one was actually interesting enough to keep watching. This one was actually really good! It's even made by film-makers in Nigeria, who voice a lot of the zebras in the film. ALSO LIAM NEESON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Unico (1989)
THIS IS ACTUALLY THE FULL MOVIE
If you love Tezuka you'll like Unico. This movie and all the Unico movies are actually pretty depressing at the ends for a reason I can't share because spoiler, but it's gorgeous and adorable and the characters are interesting.
5. Leafie, A Hen into the Wild (2011)
DONT WATCH THE ENGLISH DUB VERSION, ITS SO MUCH MORE INFERIOR TO THE KOREAN ORIGINAL
(PART 1)
This movie also made me cry a shit ton. The reason why the korean original is better is because you get the real ending this way. The english ending is garbage
6. You are Umasou
Dinosaurs? The answer is yes. Just watch it. Also tears. It's like the dinosaur version of Arashi no Yoru Ni
7. Nekojiru So / Cat Soup
This is one of my favorite films of all time. Words cannot express how beautiful it is.
