I decided to show off some of my poems to the rest of the community!
Each poem will be a different color. Some are funny, some are just WOW!
It creates and destroys
It shrinks as ideas grow
It tells stories without words
It imagines anything
In a single stick
It holds infinite power
It scratches and scrapes
Yet it makes beauty.
It also creates dissonance
For ones who don’t know
That art has a power
That in any language
It can show.

The day the Dark dragon entered the glade,
She was blinded by the sudden light.
She hadn’t known anything but the shade.
And she saw a white dragon who played
In the flowers and fields so bright
The day the Dark dragon entered the glade.
He leapt in the air above the grass that swayed
It was to her, an unusual sight
She hadn’t known anything but the shade.
He stopped to see the Dark one who strayed
Away from her cave, and he was polite.
The day the Dark dragon entered the glade.
She looked at his smile with her eyes of jade,
This white dragon didn’t recoil in fright.
She hadn’t known anything but the shade.
They ran through grass and water and played,
Their contrasting wings spread out in flight.
The day the Dark dragon entered the glade,
She hadn’t known anything but the shade.

I wear a mask to hide my name
My real identity is brought to shame
By myself and all those around me
I want to be who I want to be.
I didn’t do anything wrong.
I write a nice message and hit send
And wait for it to reach the other end
Another masked person speaks in roaring fire
In response to something that I said prior.
I didn’t do anything wrong.
Assumptions have a special saying
That lead to harsh words violently spraying
As far as the eye can see
Why do people suddenly hate me?
I didn’t do anything wrong.
They tell me to go die in the most horrible ways
It must have something to do with the teenager phase
I write another message but hit backspace instead
Maybe I would be better off dead.
I’m sorry I did something wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------
I’ve seen things
Understood through my experience alone
In a world painted only in purple
I lie here on the floor
Waiting to be picked up by someone
I shed a purple tear.
I was helpful once
With many hands I have written
Both good and bad
I learned to work with those hands
I am alone now
Sitting still on the floor
Who will find me next?
When will I be found?
I’ve seen things
When will I be found?
Who will find me next?
Sitting still on the floor
I am alone now
I learned to work with those hands
Both good and bad
With many hands I have written
I was helpful once
I shed a purple tear
Waiting to be picked up by someone.
I lie here on the floor
In a world painted only in purple
Understood through my experience alone
I’ve seen things.

Who is the red beast
That crawls into my hair
Its gentle smile and skin fair
Climbs into my ear and tells me
It knows all
I try to get it out
But it's too late
It tells me of its knowledge
It's in the mind I hate
It feeds upon my anger
And it grows
Why must it haunt me
The beast inside my brain
I know I should forget
But I'm insane
It had eaten my mind like fire
The one mind I hate
And slithered fat out my ear
It sealed my fate
Gentle smile and skin fair
The red beast crawls out of my hair
And onto the floor it fell
It looks at me and begins to yell
It knows nothing.

I am the Box Ghost! So Beware!
I have control of all containers cardboard and square!
Beware! The package you may receive,
it may be haunted by none other than me!
Beware! The post office with boxes all around!
I’ll control all the shipments and confuse the whole town!
Beware! Every person on their birthdays.
You’ll only have boxes, it’s better that way.
Beware! Danny Phantom! I have a box for you too!
If you fit, you’ll ship! all the way to Peru!
BEWARE!

I’m truly sorry for what I have done,
I shouldn’t abuse time travel, that’s for one.
I just wanted to see my grandma once more
Now the fabric of time has torn.
I wake up every day in the same situation
When my grandmother takes me on an awesome vacation
It never really happens though
For the day we left was tomorrow, I know.
If only my machine wasn’t a one way ticket.
Getting out of this loop is like walking through a thicket.
The pricks and thorns I’d have to endure
I am stuck here forever, that’s for sure.
And somewhere in another dimension
I didn’t even go to the Sci-fi convention.
Where that weird looking machine was actually real,
It had an authentic texture and feel.
I’m sorry again, my little brother,
Of whom with love I dearly smother.
I never should have pulled the time machine’s lever
Now I am stuck here, locked…
In the Forever Endeavor.
Please let me know what you think!
