New version has been released! _{Thank you for your patience, I was really struggling with this one.}

I am now going to be working on a few key things for the next update. I decided to push back working on getting the stupid colors to sync up until 1.1.0, since it's just really irritating and i can implement much more fun things!

Some thing to note about the recent update, we have size again, and a patching system! I've also went ahead and added a save feature to the username so next time you log in, you only have to type in your username once and it'll save it._{I like it so much I'm going to implement saving passwords as well.}

Right now, size is a little uncontrolled, so you can make extremely tiny meerkats _{( THEY LOOK LIKE ANTS SORT OF LOL I DONT RECOMMEND GOING TOO SMALL )}

The patcher is something new and cool and I know you might want to mess around with it, but it will not do anything when you launch it. Currently it will pass an error, because it's searching for an update that doesn't exist yet. Just leave it be lol! For future updates, if the patcher does not work for you, you can still download the next version as an installer from the website just in case!

I'm mostly trying to iron out the bugs, but I also want to get started on introducing some neat features for everyone whose been around regardless of how stripped it is of content. _{CS is very boring right now, so I'm surprised anyone would want to stick around lol.}

But having you few around helps me figure out what's wrong and start solving it. So thank ^O^/ !!!!!!

I also brought back the old Raptor test for people to play again.

I'd also like to mention the change with the suricate. It looks more like a mongoose, because originally the species was meant to be called Herpestidae- a species which includes meerkats, kusimanse and mongooses. But I also wanted it to be used to represent otters, fossas, civets, possums, and genets. So although I always get caught calling it a meerkat, the Suricate is supposed to represent so much more. So despite the latin name being wrong, know that it's not JUST a meerkat.

You'll also see some other spoilers in the video

( a LOT actually lol ) as well as the spoiler at the end, which is what i'm gonna do at the end of every video now. / v \

The next update will be 1.0.5, I'm completely skipping 1.0.4 / v \

Long time since update! _{at least it feels like it}

I'm redoing all of the UI to the new system, which actually means a whole new set up for the meerkat as well.

I always intended on having the UI for the character creator to be on BOTH sides of the screen, so that is how it looks now.

Going to redo the expressions and snouts based on this concept art by the gorgatron

This is considered to be VERY limited customization in comparison to how the rest of the species will be, but I think it's enough for a taste of what will be.

I'm going to make a thread in Ideas to ask what markings I should and shouldn't keep as well as additions, because I didn't really feel the last ones.

~~the meerkat creator is just about complete, and i'm working on getting nametags up to snuff for 1.0.5~~

I DID IT!! IT TOOK ME 10 HOURS BUT I DID ITTTT

I decided to add dark ear rims permanently to the texture of the Suricate, I think it gives a tiny bit of extra uniqueness. The main menu and the character creator are all done. I still have to finish the Suricate builder and then test it a bit before it's ready to go. I'd say maybe by Friday it'll be ready. I keep getting sick with different things so progress is a little slow, but it's happening.

things are starting to come along in the character creator area

you can definitely make more personal kats

i just need to do the area i've been putting off (markings) and then i can have the beta testers check it out, and maybe a release on the website for that too who knows.

The creator is now in beta-testing, if it all works out, it should be released publicly to hold everyone over until the next update < v > still have so much work to doooo!!

Here's 3 kats I made for fun just to show off the power of this new creator!

here's a prototype of the new menu! it's a paw and all the lil toesies are buttons. For now the middle button will be your info, i still have to figure out what to do with the rest of these. I'm probably going to compile old menus together, like Tribes and Friends could easily go together! Events could have it's own special area in each map instead of having a permanent place on the menu.

I might keep it unlabeled, since the theme of this game is slowly heading towards instinct, memorization and attention to detail. It makes sense if the game has this element all over, and GUI is limited if possible to be a bit more immersive. You're trying to be a wild animal, you shouldn't need to be reading a ton of menus and text if you don't need to.
