Ahh, thank you! N' regarding textures, I haven't actually used any textured overlays in either of those headshots. The fur is done over several layers starting with a plain grey base. I then work up with several luminosity layers to define the fur. Once I'm comfortable with how the fur looks, I add an overlay layer for the colour. Lighting n' shading comes afterwards. I can't really explain it clearly sorry, haha. But I can direct you to some tutorials that may help with fur.
