What should we do if our account gets "Hacked"?

First of all you should never give your passwords out, and if you do, always change em at the first sign of possible trouble.

You could email a staff member from the email you signed up with, if the email doesnt (and it shouldnt) use the same password as your CS accounts.

I think the most obvious sign of hacking would be in behavior and characters. If the staff knows you to be someone who regularly participates on the forums or is in a tribe, etc. etc., logging in game on troll characters or behaving in a way that's asking for a ban ( we don't honor those ) would be a good tell that something was wrong.

Just recently we even had a staff member get their account 'hacked' but the behavior wasn't even close to how we know the staff member, so we were able to protect the account once the original owner came back.

You could also probably use outside accounts to show that the account is yours if you posted screenshots of your character on DeviantArt for example. There's plenty of ways to fix a hack, you just gotta be creative.
