-EDIT- I noticed too late I didn't put this in the 'Theories' thread. Can a mod please move this? Thanks =)
So, I was thinking a bit about this game's lore and all while I was writing a piece of fanfiction, and it came to me; humans in this universe.
Now I'm aware that there supposedly are not any in the different biomes of Primidorial, from what I've read / heard, but it is curious that, while playing the raptor demo, I noticed there seem to be jet streams in the skybox. I'm not exactly a cloud geek or anythin', but shouldn't this not be here if this is true? Or are there cloud formations that look that way, and I'm simply an uneducated swine?
Tried my best to capture it in this screenshot here.
Another thing, if there are no humans, it confuses me greatly why I sometimes see people in the Roleplay channel say things such as '-shot by human hunter-' etc. Are they simply unaware of the lore, or am I wrong again?
And no, they're not RPing in an AU (alternate universe) as I sometimes will ask.
-------Disregard this bottom half if there are in fact, no humans-------
If there are humans, in which stage of evolution are they considered in, (ex: tribes, civilization) and are they able to access the same types of arcanica as the beasts in Primidorial?
Are we unknowingly living among shamanistic humans? (known commonly as 'shapeshifters')

That skybox just came with them and I don't think I really noticed they were there when I put it in. Maybe very large and very fast and hot sky fauna made them instead?

Not everyone reads or knows the lore, and that's fine. Everyone is welcome to RP as whatever they want to, the Lore is just there for people who want to embrace it, it's a conceptual springboard to base your bigger and better ideas off of. I mentioned somewhere that including characters and concepts that don't seem Lore-friendly could still essentially be canon and make sense with the lore. Primordial and it's magic elements are spontaneous and powerful. A rift to another dimension where things like humans exist could form and bring other creatures into it.
I even mentioned an OC of mine who has mechanical augmentations, in their transportation to Primordial via these 'rifts' they would be seemingly unstoppable and highly dangerous, but without the regular upkeep of the enhancements capable in the previous world, these augmentations become useless and detrimental and would eventually kill this character. Now their story can be about finding a way to use Primordial magic to upkeep the enhancements, removing them, or just plain finding a quiet place to die.
I don't want anyone to think that they HAVE to obey the Lore and all it's constituents, like I said it's a springboard! The current Lore is weak, partial and vague so that you can do whatever you want with it. Maybe you really really like the upbringing part of the Lore but you don't like the Gods' concept so much, do something else with it!
I've seen a lot of really interesting roleplays and characters made in the name of the lore, and I still do imply that people infuse it with their touch- because eventually when Tribes become a big thing, I want to engrave these community stories into permanent parts of the Lore. Maybe the story of a human in Primordial becomes the very first and only and makes it into Lore.

Whether or not they could be endowed the magic of Primordial or not is totally up to you.
I personally think if I had a human arrive in Primordial from someplace like Earth, the chemical makeup of Primordial's atmosphere would kill them, the advanced and intelligent fauna and flora would kill them, or the arrival through a rift creating a highly-pressurized wormhole through dimensions would kill them. IF they managed to survive that, maybe assuming an animal form would protect them from the world, or cloaking themselves in very powerful magic or technology, they would have a hard time making friends and surviving socially if they couldn't pick up the cues of the Primordial inhabitants and become an enemy to everyone they meet. Perhaps not even NPC's would accept their money just because they're too unconventional. A human would need to be smart, learning a new language not only in speaking, but learn it emotionally and physically. They might have to put their trust in some native Primordians and pray to the Seraphs they chose the right crowd.
