Running Cereal Soup on Wineskin Winery 1.7

> What is Wineskin?
Wineskin, in short, is a program that allows you to emulate games made for Windows by, essentially, wrapping a covering over Windows executable files so that they can be ran on Macintosh, which uses .app instead of .exe's. It does not work with every game the same way, but I have found a way to run Cereal Soup with it.
If you would like to read more about Wineskin, you can visit the website.
> Why are you making this tutorial when there is already a designated mac version?
The mac version is notorious for being very finicky and bugged, and this is just an alternative that players can give a try if they so choose.
> Can you help me? I'm having a problem with...
Please understand that I do not have any prior experience or knowledge about using Wineskin, and am also just as limited when it comes to OSX. I most likely will not be able to help you solve issues, but there is a support forum that is very active. You can find that by clicking here. Also, it is worth noting that the users on these boards will most likely have never heard of CS and it would probably be difficult if you ask about specific game based problems there.
If there is something you do not understand that is presented in this tutorial, please PM me! Good luck!
Overview
Step 1: Downloading and Installing Wineskin
Step 2: Installing Engines and Updates
Step 3: Creating a "New Wrapper"
Step 4: Getting CS up and running
Step 1: Downloading Wineskin - wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php?page=Downloads
Once you have installed Wine onto your system, open it up. It will look something like this:
Step 2: Installing necessary Engines and Updates
On this part of the program, there are a couple things we need to get out of the way. Wine needs at least 1 engine to run something.
2a. Click the "+" sign next to "New Engine(s) available!"
2b. Scroll up to the latest version (in this case, 2.16), and select it.
Then, proceed to install it.
2c. Check to make sure that the "Update" button is greyed out. If it isn't, that means you have some more installing to do here! It make take one or two clicks until the updates are all added, because they install one at a time.
Step 3: Creating a "New Wrapper"
This will be the object that is key to emulating CS.
3a. Click "Create New Blank Wrapper" button
3b. A window will appear prompting you to name the Wrapper so that you can identify it. By default, it will look like this.
3c. Wait for the wrapper to finish being created.
It will prompt you several times about additional packages that need to be downloaded, accept them and continue.
3c. Click on "Show in Finder" after the Wrapper finishes.
3d. Click and drag your new creation onto your desktop for easiest access.
Step 4: Getting CS up and running - cerealsoupgame.com/Downloads/
You'll need a Windows version to obtain the .exe in which we will be emulating. For our purposes, the x64 will work just fine. You're at the home stretch! Hang in there!
4a. Click and drag the Cereal Soup.exe onto the Cereal Soup.app. **DO NOT ACTUALLY REMOVE THE EXE ONTO THE DESKTOP FROM ITS FOLDER! I did this for the sake of the screenshot! You will get an error message if you do this, and the game will not launch. You are only supposed to drag the .exe on top of the .app.
4b. After a few seconds, you should see the configuration window. You should know the drill from here!
Additional Recommendations & Comments
- Run CS at the "fastest" setting
- Run CS in Windowed mode
- There may be slight image corruption within the game, but a definite improvement in comparison to the Mac version
