☆ Types of Presets (Open/Personal)
When submitting a preset, you have the option to choose how you want it to be available in game.
Open
An open preset is a preset that goes into your personal store.
You can sell it here as a limited or unlimited amount- and you will make the in-game currency profit that you offer it as. An open preset has limited control options for you. We may not be able to take it out of the game, but you have the rights to edit this preset visually, but not functionally ( cannot change whether or not it glows/ has different parts added, etc )
Personal
A personal preset only gives you as the owner ( or whomever you specify that it belongs to ) the ability to use the preset.
You have full rights to this preset the same as the private preset.
☆Preset Requirements
☆Presets should have a texture on them, either the default texture or your own, no texture-less characters!
☆Do not make presets that are copyrighted characters. We are not accepting those at this time.
☆Fan characters of copyrighted series are acceptable, but we will take them with a grain of salt.
☆No copyrighted images of any kind should be on your preset unless they are royalty free, or edited to look unlike the original image you used. Read about Fair Use to avoid any copyright stepping.
☆Do not upload someone else' preset. You may upload a preset for someone else if you wish to pay for it, but do not upload something you have not been given permission to use.
☆Marking Requirements
☆Typically must be all white- does not have to be 100 percent opaque
☆Should not include copyrighted material or make the character look very obviously like a copyrighted character
For ex. (Amaterasu's markings from Okami would not be accepted.
Markings that look like Pikachu's ears and tail would be okay.)
Read about Fair Use to avoid any copyright stepping.
☆Do not upload someone else' markings!
☆Markings must have the standard texture masked over them.
☆You can use tones of black in a marking (For ex. The Red Panda on the Suricate) Just be sure you've used it appropriately.
☆PLEASE make sure your Markings are all named an capiitalized.
Ex. "blackmailchanspackSpiderMarking.png" is not an acceptable name
"Spider.png" is a proper name.
☆Making a Preset/Markings
Presets can be properly viewed using the Customizer! The customizer can be downloaded off of the Downloads area of the website, and is a visual tool for testing markings and presets. You will be able to toggle through all the species that are available for markings and presets.
or making a marking to overlay the original default CS body texture, the choice is yours!
rowan has made an amazing tutorial on how to do this here
The Customizer uses links to images online to download textures onto the models, so after creating your desired markings or presets- upload the images to an image hosting website like Imgur, Photobucket, Tinypic, or any cloud servers that can also host and share images. This will only help you view the preset, when it is accepted into the actual game, it will be built-in and not require any images to download online.
