[How-to] Markings and Presets!

DO you know how to open it up with Krita?

Gave this tutorial a much-needed revamp! Now has instructions for Sai, Photoshop, and Gimp (by popular request).




I don't believe you can make a preset with Krita. If you can somehow do that, feel free to, but I've got no idea how Krita works anymore, so I won't be of much help at all!

I can confirm Krita works just fine as I used it to make my Omægus preset, I just followed the Photoshop instructions on the tutorial--so long as you have the layers in the given order, and the right "orientations" (multiply, normal, etc.) and save the file as a .png everything should be good. 

When I paste the URL adress in place, character just turns to white and red texture without fur. Guess my preset isn't read by Customizer. I save presets in PNG, and share it by imgur, but nothing happens

If uploading your preset images is still giving you problems you can try just using the File path to link them:

Ahh, Hello!
I only have a couple questions, Because I'm still learning how to use PaintToolSAI to make these :V
I was wondering what brushes would work the best for making the markings look soft, or making them look stippled?
I'm really curious because the pencil tool makes the lines too harsh for my liking, So I was looking to the masters for advice. ;v;

rowan Question: Does it matter if the emissionmap is saved as jpg or png? Does it work for both of them?

Also the images in the tutorial are dead, not sure if I'm the only one having this problem or not ;;

Seyll Images seem to be back now! And I always save as a png, but that's personal preference - I haven't saved as a jpg yet, but it should work with either filetype.

Lucarn I'll see if I can type an emissions tutorial sometime soon.
